Thomas Folske

Thomas Folske holds a BA in Creative Writing, with an AA in Liberal Arts, an AS in Education, and a certificate in Creative Writing as well. Over the last ten years, Thomas has had over 100 short stories published by various publishers, in print, in magazines, and in online publication and e-book forms. He has been writing creatively since he was twelve, but before that he was a reader, a list maker, a text-based game lover, a story teller, and above all else, a dreamer and imaginator. Ever since the days of playing “Wiggins in Storyland”, Thomas knew he wanted to create. Growing up, Thomas loved all forms of storytelling, be it video games, movies, TV shows, comics, books, and just playing imagination games as a child. He is particularly a fan of horror, especially 80’s horror and classic British literature, but he also loves fantasy, science fiction, children’s stories and westerns, no matter the medium. He considers Rod Serling’s “The Twilight Zone” to be the best show ever created, but he grew up loving “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”. He also loves cartoons, action movies, especially with Sci-fi elements, but he enjoys anything with a compelling storyline, though he prefers fear and carnage as opposed to torture and drama. With “Isabella and the Grelmlotch” being Thomas’s first solo release, he also has another novel and two novellas in the editing stage, and he plans to begin releasing short story collections in the near future. Thomas dabbles in all genres, with his short stories tending toward horror, but he also writes everything from literary fiction, to westerns and historical fiction, to romance and erotica, sometimes under a pen name. He recently edited and released the first collected anthology he has curated, “Just Beneath Your Boat”, via Dark Moon Rising Publications. He lives in Minnesota with his wife, six kids, and three black cats.
