Jody Ellis

Jody Ellis is a writer, journalist, and screenwriter based in Sacramento, California. Her work has appeared in publications such as BBC, Huffington Post, Business Insider, and MSN. She has two published books, What’s Cooking Alaska, co-written with local Alaska celebrity chef Al Levinsohn, and Ghosts of Alaska. Her screenplay wins include first place at the Portland Comedy Film Festival, and three of her scripts have been optioned. A storyteller and avid reader since childhood, she decided to make the move from screenplays to prose last year, completing her first YA fantasy novel, Ruby. When not writing or thinking about writing, she enjoys movies, hiking, spending time with family, and catering to her dog and two cats.
